Reviews:
"[T]he technique is thoroughly modern. Zemeckis, shooting on digital, can’t resist splashing his immaculately constructed period settings -- including a Casablanca more or less constructed from scratch -- with some of his usual state-of-the-art spectacle..." -- Grade: B - 11/22/2016 A.V. Club

4 stars out of 4 -- "[A] grandly entertaining stab at old-fashioned storytelling buoyed by smart and stylish filmmaking, a good performance by Brad Pitt and an even better one from Marion Cotillard." - 11/21/2016 RogerEbert.com

"[A] handsomely crafted, fitfully effective throwback to earlier epics of love, betrayal and wartime espionage....Zemeckis builds a polished vintage frame for his stars, and for the tricky game of shifting emotional and political loyalties mapped out by the screenwriter Steven Knight." - 11/22/2016 Los Angeles Times

"[A] triumph of craft, and therefore a reminder of the deep pleasures of old-fashioned technique and long experience." - 11/22/2016 New York Times

"It’s a romantic World War II thriller featuring two glamorous stars who play spies who fall in love on a mission in Casablanca....ALLIED is a fun, tense, good-looking film..." - 11/28/2016 The Atlantic

3 stars out of 5 -- "The screenplay by Steven Knight competently explores some chewy themes: the complexities of matrimonial and state loyalties; the breaking point of love when tested." - 11/30/2016 Total Film
