Reviews:
"Cursed/blessed with terrible facial hair, and always walking or yelling or arguing with himself, Keaton hasn’t seemed this alive in years. Maybe ever." -- Grade: B+ - 10/16/2014 A.V. Club

"BIRDMAN is a scalpel-sharp dissection of Hollywood, Broadway, and fame in the 21st century. But more than that, it's a testament to Keaton's enduring charisma and power as an actor." -- Grade: A- - 10/17/2014 Entertainment Weekly

"Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, who won an Oscar last year for sending us out of this world in GRAVITY, is masterful in taking us down the rabbit hole in takes so long they leave you breathless." - 10/16/2014 Los Angeles Times

"This pitch-dark comedy, which was directed, con brio, by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, sizzles as the camera circles, stalks and swoops." - 10/16/2014 Wall Street Journal

"BIRDMAN is a big bang of movie razzle-dazzle from Alejandro G. Iñárritu." - 10/17/2014 New York Times

3.5 stars out of 4 -- "One of the year's most audacious, savagely funny and unpredictable films, it features an outstanding performance by Michael Keaton as the has-been star of a superhero franchise desperate to be taken seriously." - 10/17/2014 USA Today

4 stars out of 4 -- "[A] film that’s both technically astounding yet emotionally rich, intimate yet enormous, biting yet warm, satirical yet sweet." - 10/17/2014 RogerEbert.com

"[O]ne of the most original and one of the most unforgettable films in recent memory." - 10/23/2014 Chicago Sun-Times

5 stars out of 5 -- "BIRDMAN is everything you want movies to be: vital, challenging, intellectually alive, visually stunning, emotionally affecting." - 12/26/2014 Empire

"At once a backstage melodrama, a showbiz satire, a relationship drama, a deconstruction of the human ego and, yes, a superhero movie replete with eye-saucering set-pieces, BIRDMAN is frenetic, splenetic and dizzyingly inventive." - 12/29/2014 Total Film

"Along the way, Iñárritu and director of photography Emmanuel Lubezki let the film appear as if unspooling in a single take. It’s a nice piece of artifice..." - 01/06/2015 Uncut
