Synopsis:
An animated adventure film featuring Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. The adventure begins when McDuck finds a magic lamp which holds a genie inside. But then the villainous Merlock, steals the magic lamp from McDuck and uses it for his own greedy purposes. With the genie's help, McDuck, his nephews and a new friend named Webby, start off on an adventure to try to recover the lamp and fulfill the genie's wish of becoming a real boy.

Titles and Opticals by Buena Vista Visual Effects. Budget estimate $20 million. Color by Technicolor; sound by Dolby. Released in USA August 3, 1990. This is the first film to be presented under the "Disney Movietoons" label. Most of the animation was done by a team of 110 artists in Disney's new animation studio in France. All other sequences were completed by a team of 80 artists in the Walt Disney Animation Studio in the UK. The camerawork and cel painting were completed in China.
