Rosendahl, Lahteenmaki, and Hoffman, cofounders of the well-being company You-app, give readers a series of quick and practical microactions for self-improvement in this collaborative effort. A microaction is a simple action that can be done by anyone to create positive change. The main idea of this useful handbook is that people can feel better about themselves by completing microactions, which are small, instead of feeling bogged down by trying to tackle large tasks. Each one of these 365 microactions falls into one of four categories: food, mind, move, and love. The ideas can be followed chronologically or in the order of the readers choice. The authors also bring in experts in all four categories to write some of the microactions. For example, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver contributes many of the microactions that relate to food and better eating habits. Readers looking for a simple guide to happier living will find it here.
