Overview
This bilingual handbook is designed for students of advanced Chinese (third year and up). It attempts to provide students with the explanations and usage of the most important written expressions and idioms in modern Chinese in a concise and practical way. The book is in two sections. In the first section the most basic and common written expressions are classified and explained according to their grammar syntax structure. The distinctive features of various sub-styles of written expressions, together with some special lexicons and idioms, are discussed in section two. The book also furnishes abundant examples and exercises necessary for the consolidation of what has been learned.

Yu Feng is an experienced language teacher. He is a preceptor of Chinese, Harvard University. He is also the author and editor of many articles and books pertaining to Chinese language learning.
