When Marine Force Recon captain Cullen Loughman learns that his father s been kidnapped, he will do whatever it takes to find him. In order to achieve his mission, Cullen will need to team up with the best of the best someone who just happens to be the most stunning woman he s ever laid eyes on

This isn t the first rodeo for ex--Air Force pilot Mia Carter. Still, Cullen s bad-boy good looks and charm are distracting her from duty. . .and it appears that the feeling is mutual. As Mia and Cullen make their descent into a dark, dangerous world, their attraction reaches the boiling point. But is their desire worth the risk when a ruthless enemy is waiting in the wings or will their Lone Star love conquer all, in The Protector, the next Sons of Texas novel by New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant.

The second in Grants Sons of Texas trilogy (after The Hero) combines danger and desire in an intoxicating mix. After Orrin Loughman is kidnapped by the Russians for stealing a bioweapon, his three sons join the woman who sees him as a father in a desperate search to find Orrin before its too late. Plucky rich girl Mia Carter joined the Air Force and then left to become a pilot for hire because she hated following pesky rules. As she and one of Orrins sons, Marine Force Recon Capt. Cullen Loughman, fight desperately to find him, they soon uncover the Saints, an international crime syndicate whose members include people Mia and Cullen thought were on the side of good. They have no idea whom to trust as they race the clock. Grants dizzying mix of danger and romance dazzles as Cullen and Mia overcome several nearly fatal encounters, including a Jeep accident off a mountain road. She increases the books appeal by creating a well-drawn couple with off-the-charts chemistry and a breath-stealing plot that ends on a cliff-hangerwhich will make readers desperate for book three.
