Every year on Star Wars Day (May 4), fans share the phrase “May the fourth be with you.” They’ll have even more reason to thanks to this counting book, which takes readers from the one and only Jedi Grand Master (Yoda) up through 100 imperial stormtroopers. The large trim size allows the film images that illustrate the book to shine, and certain elements are given a glossy treatment. While the layouts of the later spreads can feel cluttered or awkward (“nine swift starships” don’t so much “zoom through space” as hang out at odd angles), diehard fans are unlikely to mind. All ages. (July)
