This book comes at a time when the honeybee is under incredible stress world wide and is intended to introduce this important creature to younger generations in the hope that they will work toward responsible stewardship of the honeybee.

Jake Yarish has spent seven years in the commercial beekeeping industry working for two seperate companies specializing in queen breeding in Hawai'i. Before moving to Hawai'i, he was certified by the State of California to control Africanized honeybees also known as "killer bees" He worked for three years controlling Africanized honeybee swarms for a small family owned pest control company in Southern California.

Jake lives near San Diego with his wife and three children.
