• Veterans and troops in military hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and retirement communities
• Children of military service members, through the Reach Out and Read® Military Initiative

All you have to do is go to booksamillion.com/booksfortroops and choose which books you'd like to buy for troops, vetarans, or kids. Add the items to your shopping cart as usual. Continue shopping for other merchandise if you wish, and proceed to checkout when you're ready. On the final page of the checkout process, your Books for Troops items will be listed separately from all your other merchandise, so you'll clearly know which items are being shipped to the troops, veterans, or kids.

Once you make your purchase, we'll take care of the rest. You don't even have to pay shipping costs!

At least once each week, Booksamillion.com will gather, address, and ship the books that customers just like you have purchased for the troops, veterans, and kids. It's as simple as that!

We work in conjunction with U.S. military bases and National Guard offices to send the books to unit commanders overseas. The commanders then distribute the books to individuals in their units. Please note that for security reasons, we cannot publish the addresses of the units that receive the books.

We have also partnered with Reach Out and Read® to support the Reach Out and Read® Military Initiative, which serves nearly 100,000 children of military families annually. Reach Out and Read® is an evidence-based nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
