American Dreams to Nightmares : The Disuniting of America (Part One; A Black Political Satire of the Trump Era)
by Michael Rande

Overview -
In this insane and profane American story, two idols battle for America's soul. A mirror of the Trump era and all the nastiness in our politics nowadays, one left-wing lunatic goes up against a right-wing lunatic. From blood on the streets to sex scandals, Kamil Raheem and President Ezra Eliade sacrifice everything to win, putting petty politics before God -- and country.

President Ezra Eliade has swept into power on his One America platform, vowing to take the country back and reclaim the nation for the "majority." One nation for one people is the (white nationalist) promise. The President's critics label him a fascist and un-American. Our anti-hero Kamil Raheem falls in that camp.

An Arab, Kamil is outside President Eliade's One America frame. Due to Kamil's 'extreme' politics and inflammatory writings, a crazed cable news viewer shot him three times, convinced he was saving the nation by gunning the Arab down. To the President's chagrin, Kamil survived -- more radical than ever. In turn, his celebrity reaches idol status. After a melee on cable news, Kamil delivers a call to arms, where he calls for mass protests on the Ides of March. On March 15, the people take to the streets against Eliade's America.

The protests are the first major challenge to Eliade's presidency, which he believed was destined by God himself. Driven by ego and destiny (and an ungodly hatred for the Arab), the President abuses every vestige of state and social power endowed to him by his office to go after his archenemy. Kamil abuses his perch among the grassroots to escalate his protest and bring President Eliade down -- sacrificing everyone and everything in the process. Herein, Kamil Raheem v. Ezra Eliade, Left v. Right, and the Grassroots v. the Establishment all become part of an epic struggle for America's soul.

In American Dreams to Nightmares: The Disuniting of America, the question is this: Does Left-Right trump American in this era of our politics? Go down the rabbit hole and see the underbelly of American politics -- the primitive tribalism at play and how the American people are just pawns in one insane game. Along the way, sex and scandal rear their ugly heads. Why? Because it is America after all ... And this is only Part One

Note: This book is a black satire (emphasis on the black). It is mightily politically incorrect. It features explicit language, adult (read sexual) content, and some scenes of violence. (It's a hell of a ride.)
