Synopsis:
Empire Records is a small music store staffed by a diverse bunch of slackers. As the teens sort out the various crises in their lives, they soon discover their jobs are on the line. This is because the giant franchise Music Town wants to buy out the independent Empire. Can the grungy staff avoid the specter of capitalism -- and keep their jobs intact?
