Synopsis:
A mysterious film, which tells a tale rich in folklore and psychology. When a man sees a beautiful woman gazing intently, hypnotically at the leopards at the zoo, he becomes as fascinated with her as she is by the animals. He approaches her, and they begin a relationship and eventually wed; but she informs him that their marriage cannot be comsummated. It seems that her people are victims of an ancient curse that turns them into wildcats whenever they become too emotional or passionate. Although he dismisses this strange story, he remains patient with her, attributing her fears to normal newlywed jitters. But it appears that some creature is stalking and killing people... and the man's female co-worker appears to be next on the list.

Notes:
CAT PEOPLE was added to the Library of Congress National Film Registry in 1993.
