1963
Overview
1963 is the story of AJ Moore, who's first memory is 1944, his father's homecoming. Jess Moore was a wounded veteran of the battle of Anzio, and the major influence on young AJ's life. Growing up in Southeast Oklahoma, the boy dreams of following his father into law enforcement but is sidetracked by learning to play the guitar.
The boy's vocation in music brings him into contact with seedy characters in New Orleans. These contacts complicate his life in ways that he can't anticipate. While falling in love with the beautiful Cuban ex-patriate, Rita Moreno, he is pulled into a world of clandestine government operations.
Young Moore is an unwilling participant in the world of domestic espionage, navigating it with the help of his mysterious handler, known only as Carlos. Forced to be an unwilling partner in the plot to assassinate a sitting President, AJ comes to grips with his position.
