George Washington Carey (1845-1924) was an American physician known for his early twentieth century 'Chemistry of Life' publications, a subject which he referred to as biochemistry. Most of his work combine a mixture of religion, astrology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry, themed particularly with a mineral-based theory of human disease. Carey remains popular among the new-age and homeopathic circles. In the context of a person viewed as a "human molecule", Carey was the first to state that a person's body is a "chemical formula in operation." This work reprints this early anthology of Carey's work, including thirty two essays and epigrams including: Miracles Walt Whitman The Coming Man The Comet's Message Emerson Edition The Wonders and Possibilities of the Human Body The Occult Meaning of Slang Phrases Moonshine or Lunacy? A Song of Peace
