Destiny's Bastard
by Hank Edwards

Overview -
Sir Gerard Fogg, knight in the Royal Guard of the kingdom of Algonwick, is in love with the King's only son, Prince Tristan Fysher. The two men carry on a secret, sexual affair, falling more in love every day. Then a visitor appears in the kingdom, calling himself Malcolm as he robs and murders travelers along the road to Algonwick. His actions tear apart Gerard and Tristan's sacred union and in a flash Malcolm is gone, vanished as if he never existed. Gerard vows to bring Malcolm to justice, and sets off on his quest with Ranulf, the King's advisor, and the only one who knows where to find the murdering stranger. The two travel through time to 2006, finding the castle they love in ruins, and a handsome young archaeologist named Jon Calder trying to pinpoint the reason for Algonwick's unexpected decline. They befriend Jon, and, as relationship between Gerard and Jon deepens, the murderous Malcolm stalks closer and closer
