Overview
Legendary hitman John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is once again called out of retirement, this time by a former colleague (Riccardo Scamarcio) who wants him to repay a debt by killing an Italian crime lord (Claudia Gerini). But when the attempted assassination goes awry, Wick finds himself hunted by an international cabal of killers, and his only hope for survival might be a shadowy figure known as the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne). Movie Reviews
Reviews:
"Reeves is back in fine form, confirming how indispensable he is to the franchise with his lithe physicality, no-nonsense demeanor and impressive skill set, as he again performs many of his own driving and martial arts stunts." - 02/06/2017 Hollywood Reporter
"Blurring the line between the very literal and the completely metaphorical, almost every set is either subterranean or reflective: a tunnel, a subway car, a ruin, a bathroom hung with huge mirrors." -- Grade: B+ - 02/08/2017 A.V. Club
3.5 stars out of 4 -- "[A] more audacious film, bolder and more violent than its predecessor. It’s also surprisingly hilarious, wringing humor from physical pratfalls and dry wit in unexpected moments." - 02/09/2017 RogerEbert.com
"[A] connoisseur’s delight, a down-and-dirty B-picture with a lustrous A-picture soul." - 02/09/2017 Los Angeles Times
4 stars out of 5 -- "JW:C2 winds you with its intensity -- driven by Reeves’ remarkable athleticism and some wonderful choreography." - 02/07/2017 Total Film
"Stahelski and his screenwriter Derek Kolstad double down on the other things that made JOHN WICK great -- its innovative, balletic approach to ultra-violence and the film’s peculiar, inventive worldbuilding. It is a fantastic decision that pays off." - 02/09/2017 The Atlantic
4 stars out of 5 -- "With their jewel-toned neon lighting and often elegant settings, there’s poetry and pathos in the film’s balletic fight sequences..." - 02/19/2017 The Guardian
4 stars out of 5 -- "Wick is a man of few words but many bullets -- it’s a role that fits the taciturn Reeves like a glove." - 02/06/2017 Empire
"The JOHN WICK movies accomplish what Hong Kong action flicks did a quarter-century ago, seducing bloodthirsty audiences into appreciating an exquisitely choreographed modern ballet." - 02/06/2017 Variety
