They eventually moved to the Columbia Basin in Eastern Washington where he was involved in the hay and cattle business for several years while their family was growing up. The couple currently resides on a one hundred and twenty year old mountain homestead in the Olympic Mountains after having moved back to the Peninsula to open a feed store and gun shop.
