Synopsis:
Joe Hallenbeck, a one-time secret service man who has fallen from grace and become a small-time private eye, gets assigned to protect the stripper girlfriend of a football player banned from the league for gambling. When, despite his efforts, the stripper is murdered, Hallenbeck and the football player team up to figure out who's behind the killing.

Notes:
Theatrical release: December 31, 1991. Filmed on location in Los Angeles, California. Screenwriter Shane Black, who wrote the scripts for the popular LETHAL WEAPON series, was reportedly paid $1.75 million for this screenplay as the result of a bidding war between several studios. Vern Lundquist, Dick Butkus and Lynne Swan appear as themselves.
