
Overview
Lana Turner stars as an American news correspondent working in England during WWII. Her affair with a married British correspondent (Sean Connery) ends tragically when he is killed in action. Fearing a nervous breakdown as a result of his death, she travels to Cornwall to mourn with his family without any intention of revealing her relationship with him.

Synopsis:
Lana Turner stars as Sara Scott, an American reporter working in England during World War II.
Living in London in the dark days of the war, Sara starts a passionate love affair with another journalist, BBC reporter Mark Trevor. Mark refuses to marry Sara, however, since he already has a wife and a child residing in a small village in Cornwall. Mark leaves for the continent on a dangerous assignment -- when he perishes in a plane crash. Upon learning of her lover's death, Sara has a nervous breakdown. After her recovery Sara makes a decision: to visit Cornwall and to see Mark's home.
