Overview
Hatsville is an adventure story about two towns and the people that live there. The people of each town have different ideas of who their neighbors are by how they dress. One day a flood sends the people of one town to the other town to live. The people of each town soon find that their ideas become so strong about each other that they can no longer live in the same town together. Just as they're about to give up on each other, a wind storm comes. They soon learn that they are not all that different after all. Doretta Hile is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a former flight attendant. She has lived and traveled in many places throughout her life, giving her insight into people and their beliefs. This is her first children's picture book.
