Tha' Gangsta's Wife : Nova's Story
by Karmel Divine

Overview -
The voice of a familiar annoyed man shouted my name for everyone to hear and I couldn't help but to reach into my clutch and grip the handle to my gun. I turned around, staring at the door waiting to see his face. I took a few barefoot steps back and suddenly he appeared, all loopy and trying to hold his composure. I didn't see Marc or any of Siles' goons behind him. I continued to clench my hand around the handle of my gun in my clutch. "You bitch, you gon' fucking pay for that shit." He took a staggering step forward, and before he knew it, I had pulled out my gun, pointed it, and started shooting. Siles and everyone that was standing outside of the house started ducking and dodging. I watched as Siles went running up behind a car, ducking behind it. The aim of my gun followed him, blasting out the car's windows and tires. Screams could be heard as people went running back into the house and those that were outside bobbed for cover, either behind cars or trees. The gun in my hand was powerful as I let off a few more shots. I no longer saw Siles, but I was determined to get his ass from behind that damn car. "Don't be scared, nigga. Come on out, Siles," I teased him. POW I let another bullet rip from the gun and it hit the roof of the car. I had no idea whose car it was, but they were going to be mad at me.
