Movie Reviews

Synopsis:
Lovers Sailor and Lula are on the run from Lula's mom, who has put a contract out on Sailor. When they aren't making burning love to each other, they're weathering a hailstorm of crazed enemies bent on destroying them. David Lynch's surreal comedy is very intense, very weird, and incredibly electric, with unforgettable performances by Diane Ladd and Willem Dafoe (as the infamous Bobby Peru). WILD AT HEART is THE WIZARD OF OZ for the truly twisted.

Notes:
Released theatrically in the United States on August 17, 1990. Diane Ladd, who plays Laura Dern's mother in the movie, is also her real-life mom. Nicolas Cage does all his own singing in the film.
