The Wanderer
Overview
Copper Vonn admits she doesn't know much about the universe. All she can say with certainty is that she woke up one day in the void between stars and was tasked with a mission - to spread the spark of life. To form colonies like sand castles on this or that planet, to build societies she knows she will never see. The orange planet which looms below is the fourth such world. As she makes her first tenuous bootprints in the regolith, she can scarcely imagine the challenges which will befall her and her family here. She does know one thing, though - one thing she's been told over and over since she was young. In space, as in life, nothing is easy, but anything is possible. It will be in their village nestled between the mountains and the sea on this world so far from home that Copper and her fellow explorers will find their will tested. For the snows can fall as they will, stormclouds rumble as they feel, discoveries challenge the bounds of science, but surely nothing can break the very human spirit to wander.
