BAM Reader follows digital industry standards and supports Adobe eBook DRM. Adobe eBooks are DRM copy-protected PDF or ePUB files. With Adobe DRM (Digital Rights Management) software, you will be able to transfer all your eBooks, regardless of place of purchase, between your reading devices and your personal computers.
Upon your initial launch of BAM Reader, you will be asked to authorize the app. To do so, enter an Adobe ID and password. Once authorized, your copy of BAM Reader will be able to read Adobe eBooks.
Authorization of BAM Reader is optional, and you may authorize or de-authorize BAM Reader at a future date. If you do not authorize BAM Reader, you will still have the ability to enjoy thousands of non-DRM eBooks on BAM Reader.
You may register at Adobe.com to receive an Adobe ID if you do not already have one.
To authorize BAM Reader, select the Info button from the app's Main Toolbar. Enter your Adobe ID and password. Tap Continue to authorize the BAM Reader app.
When the BAM Reader app is authorized, you may read and purchase Adobe DRM copy-protected eBooks on BAM Reader. You also have the ability to transfer any Adobe eBooks you have downloaded on other readers that were authorized with the same Adobe ID as your BAM reader app.
Note: your total number of authorizations is limited by Adobe. Each time you authorize BAM Reader, it counts against this total number of authorizations.
To de-authorize BAM Reader, select the Info button from the app's Main Toolbar and tap De-authorize on the Info screen.
If you do not yet have an Adobe ID, one may be obtained from Adobe.com through a simple registration process. This registration process is also accessible from the BAM Reader app.
You have the ability to transfer Adobe eBooks that were downloaded to other computers or devices to your BAM Reader app if the computers or devices were authorized by the same Adobe ID as your BAM Reader app.
Note: on occasion, book publishers may choose to limit the reading rights of an eBook to a single digital device. eBooks such as those are non-transferrable.
You may purchase eBooks through BAM Reader's Store feature. Once you find a book you wish to purchase, tap on the price button. Once you have purchased your eBook, you will have the option to download the eBook into BAM Reader.
Remember to back up books you purchase, download, or transfer to BAM Reader. If the back up process is overlooked, your library items could be lost.
You have the ability to browse the BAM Reader Store from the BAM Reader Home Page.
You may log into your account and shop the BAM Reader Store from the BAM Reader Home Page.
You may transfer your eBooks to and from BAM Reader through the Apple iTunes File Sharing feature. This is also a convenient way to back up your eBooks. iTunes help provides complete information on File Sharing for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
If an app supports the "Open In..." feature of iOS, tap and hold on a PDF or ePUB file name to access the "Open In..." menu. Choose "BAM Reader." Once an eBook is opened in BAM Reader, it will automatically be added to your BAM Reader eBook Library.
