Palestinian novelist, poet, and critic Ibrahim Nasrallah presents the second edition of his book Images of Existence: Cinema Contemplates--an expanded and revised edition. The second edition reads eight other films within this theme through which the author wanted to highlight cinema's important role in embracing literature's questions. In all the dualities that troubled humans, cinema came to think and show us how it thinks, to ask and show us the extent of the question, to answer and show us the answer and its absurdity, leaning on literature. He says: We live in that border area between these dualities where both sides seep into each other creating another space--the human space where humans test their souls, confirm their grounding, find their mistakes and spaces of rebellion, their relationships with themselves and others, with the clear that becomes unknown the clearer it gets, and with the unknown that the more it delves into mystery to prove its presence, creates a wider space where these dualities struggle.
