اسْتَلْقى وَديع عَلى ظَهْرِه، وشَبَكَ يَدَيْهِ وَراءَ رَأْسِهِ وقال
تَخَيَّلْ يا بَديع، لَوْ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا آلِيًّا، أقْصِدُ طِفْلًا آلِيًّا!.

He discusses the problem with his friend analyzing what it means to be strongest and most intelligent and the only way it is done is by becoming a Robot to insure the knowledge.
