The book is a critical examination of the theological writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, a Swedish philosopher and theologian who claimed to have had visions of the spiritual world. Beaumont argues that Swedenborg's writings are filled with errors and anti-scriptural doctrines that are contrary to the teachings of the Bible. He provides a detailed analysis of Swedenborg's ideas on God, the Trinity, the nature of man, salvation, and the afterlife, among other topics. Beaumont also critiques Swedenborg's claims of having had supernatural experiences, arguing that they are not supported by evidence and are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible. He suggests that Swedenborg's writings are the result of his own imagination and that they have no basis in reality.Overall, The Anti-Swedenborg is a thorough critique of Swedenborg's theological writings and an attempt to refute his ideas. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of religious thought and the debates surrounding the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
