Bachata Rosa
Overview
Leah Austin is a young talented writer faced with the pressure of writing her third best seller. She procrastinates due to a bout of writer's block, but when a rough encounter with her boss Marty a feisty book publisher/editor pushes her to produce, Leah finds herself wandering the streets of her beautiful old city where she encounters the enchanting music of Bachata. Suddenly, standing outside of this home listening to the sound of the guitar, she gets whisked away inside where she sees a myriad of people of various races eating, laughing, and dancing. Her wheels start spinning when she sees the owners of the house Mateo and Keisha Jimenez engage in the dance. She becomes intrigued with the idea of writing a love story based on their life and their connection through the music. Little did she know that through their connection of love and heartbreak, she'd discover things about herself that would cause her to challenge her whole existence.
