MEMORY
Some old folks have memories vast
For times that they enjoyed
With details of a laughing past
Before they were employed
Their siblings who were sometimes there
Recall events quite different
They have to question when and where
Arose a memory so magnificent.
Leonard Cohen wrote:
"Forget your perfect offering,
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in."
