He was found later still alive by locals and brought back to the Benghazi Medical Center where he eventually expired. The official cause of death according to U.S. officials was smoke inhalation. The entire episode was then covered up because of political reasons to hide a gun running operation by elements of the U.S. government that supplied weapons to Terrorists in violation of the U.S. Arms Export Control Act.
