This book provides the first detailed history of one of the busiest entertainment venues in the city. The cinema had an eventful history, from the 10,000 people who queued to see the final-day screening of The Robe in 1953 to music concerts featuring the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan, and the live screening of Ali fights in the 1960s and 1970s. The book contains numerous contributions from former employees and visitors to the Capitol alongside contemporary press cuttings; combined they bring to life the eventful history of this important landmark in Cardiff history.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers3.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/0/75/244/664/0752446649_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "29.95", "online_price" : "29.95", "our_price" : "29.95", "club_price" : "29.95", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
