Amid the intrigue and romance, the reader is gripped from the opening scene to the shattering conclusion. The story is rife with incredible and hair-raising incidents in an exciting and imaginative whodunit. It is centered around three lifelong friends: Cecily, a pediatric surgeon who became involved with organized crime when she paid her way through medical school as a call-girl, which becomes a living nightmare for her; Lillian, a housewife turned alcoholic, who fights hard and steady for her husband, who has a philandering desire for Cecily; and Trudy, a wild and spirited fashion model, who finds comfort in the arms of Cecily's ex-pimp, turning to food at her heartbreak, achieving obesity and a failing career.Recommended for its brisk pace, solidly grounded plot, and its appeal to readers of detective stories, romance novels, and realism, Consequences does it all. It takes you through a decade of trials and tribulations of three friends who have to endure the ultimate tests of friendship, through time, heartaches, sacrifices, and consequences.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers1.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/0/96/740/910/0967409101_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "19.99", "online_price" : "19.99", "our_price" : "19.99", "club_price" : "19.99", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
