Music Reviews
Editorial Reviews
Spin (12/96, p.147) - "...relies on cameos from Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and a reunited Shalamar. Plus Kenny G, which works in this upside-down, fascinating pop sphere..."
Entertainment Weekly (11/1/96, p.68) - "...All the Babyface trademarks--the crisp, unobtrusive percussion, the silky guitars, the harmonies that blanket the melodies like a quilt--are laid out like a three-piece suit. But more so than any previous album he's made, THE DAY is chockful of luscious, gently persuasive songs..." - Rating: A-
Vibe (3/01, p.192) - 3.5 discs out of 5 - "...Inthe hurly-burly of today's music scene, it's getting a lot easier to appreciate the charms of this quiet man..."
