Vehicle hijacking has been an increasingly serious problem over the last and recent decade. The rate of hijackings is higher in locations where a car is financially out of reach but nonetheless a need or status symbol. According to E.T Exclusivethesis, these days' hijackers are armed with dangerous and fatal weapons in 90% of the incidents. Typically, there is no need to deploy the weapons because the sheer sight of them causes the ordinary individual to abandon their car. But the weapons aren't just for show; car hijackers aren't scared to use them, and then just 1% of car hijackings result in a fatality.
