I Don't Know
Overview
I Don't Know consists of poems, letters, and musings on the things we seek our whole lives.
Love. Loss. Faith. Identity. Suffering. Healing. Society. Death. Consciousness. The need to belong. The fear of being forgotten.
Some pages contain poems. Some pages are letters. Some contain musings created in moments when certainty seemed meaningless.
This book doesn't make any claims about the meaning of life. It doesn't make any promises about the suffering having a reason, about each wound healing fully, or about everything making sense in the end. Rather, it questions the beliefs we were raised with, the identities we construct for ourselves, the people we create in order to survive in society, and the illusions that sometimes save us.
This book doesn't have the answers.
It captures a process of questioning.
The act of loving without any guarantees.
The act of losing with no explanations.
The act of struggling to be human when we realize what it really means to be human.
Maybe we don't need the answers to everything.
Maybe there is some kind of freedom in realizing that we can say,
I don't know.
