The Double in the Creek
Overview
When the water in Old Briar Creek begins flowing backward outside Briar Hollow, Texas, the town assumes it's another strange natural phenomenon. But when animals begin appearing in pairs-identical raccoons, mirrored foxes, duplicated snakes-Rowan and Maeve realize something far more terrifying is happening beneath the surface.
The creek is copying life.
Drawn toward the growing anomaly, Rowan and Maeve trace the phenomenon to the Briar Hollow Museum of the Unseen, a gothic structure built unknowingly atop a massive underground void. The deeper they investigate, the more reality itself begins to fracture. Animals fight their own duplicates, reflections move independently, and the sky above the town begins splitting into faint mirrored arcs.
Then the first human duplication begins.
An ancient force known only as The Harvester emerges from the fracture, using human bodies as conduits to expand a geometry older than nature itself. As possession spreads and the ground beneath the museum collapses, Rowan and Maeve must confront impossible choices: destroy the fracture and risk annihilating Briar Hollow-or allow reality to split permanently.
In a town where reflections become monsters and water remembers other worlds, survival comes with a terrible cost.
Because once duplication begins, nothing stays singular for long.
