Students are given multiple opportunities to read and write words with the targeted decoding skill(s), while connecting them to language and meaningful text. Each lesson includes accessing background knowledge, vocabulary review, word-level fluency practice, connected text practice, comprehension questions, dictation, and phoneme-grapheme mapping of the targeted skill(s). Students graph their progress, which increases motivation and provides immediate feedback on their success. This program can be used as an intervention, prevention, and extension for students in second grade and above. The lessons are complete and ready to go, making them perfect for classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, tutors, or homeschoolers. In addition to being aligned with the science of reading it incorporates multiple strategies recommended by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) for students with reading difficulties, including those with dyslexia.
