Many might be placed in the thriller or crime genre (because that dominates my work) but Facsimile is Science Fiction and I intend to grow it into a novel. Some of these are so short that I see them as vignettes of life, those slices of life that often have no beginning or middle, but do have an end. Under the Bougainvillea is a good example.
