The Flood of Fools : Political study of the aftermath of Oct.7th 2023 wars
Overview
The title is a political study of the strategic policies that led to Hamas's attack on Israel on the 7th. of October 2023. It examines the assumptions about one's own strengths and others' weaknesses. The departure was the Lebanon war of 2006; Israel has the tradition of re-examining its military performance during the wars, while its adversaries assume the opposite tack. Military victory is often over-estimated as a tool to change reality; an awful example was the military victory of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003; the fruits of that military action were to deliver Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Iran; such a result sits squarely as one of the root causes of the current on 2026.
The balance of power in West Asia/ Middle East is shifting significantly with the advent of the powers of India, China, and Pakistan, with alliances to other regional powers.
The book explains the economic. military, and political makeup of countries involved in the hostilities of war from 2023-2026; the stress of conflicts has led to precarious conditions facing countries like Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. There were comparisons made among five regional powers: Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey. The book aims to study the underlying fractures that made conflict remain and persist. Why is Palestinian Nationalism different than Kurdish, Algerian, or Irish?
Iran was particularly studied, while the 12-Day war of 2025 and the current war of 2026 is still cooking in the oven; the strategies of Decapitating leaderships didn't work either in Iran. Gaza, or Lebanon. The book is divided into five chapters: the first deals with Israel's strategy and deterrence, the second with those of Hamas, the third with Iran and its allies, the fourth with the features of these wars. The fifth traces the Palestinian future between PA and Hamas, also the Palestinian relations with Egypt, the Palestinian demographic time bomb, and the concept of the Palestinian state.
The book is objective with a scientific approach to demonstrate to readers the complexities of the questions facing the Middle East. With the help of tens of photos, graphs, sources, and references. Easy to read and visualize the different aspects of the conflicts
