Platelet aggregation is part of the sequence events leading to the formulation of a thrombus (clot). Antiplatelet therapy with one or more drugs decreases the ability of blood clot to form by interfering with the platelet activation process in primary homeostasis. Tablets were formulated by three different methods Viz., Direct compression method, Solid dispersion method and Sublimation method. Different excipients such as, crospovidone as super disintegrants, croscarmellose as superdisintegrant, magnesium stearate as lubricant, talc as glidant etc. were used. Based on in-vitro release studies tablets prepared by sublimation method clopidogrel was selected as optimizes formulation. In-vitro release studies indicated more than 95% release of drug in 30 mins. The accurate stability studies indicated no change in in-vitro release and other property of the tablet.
