Overview
He promised to protect her. But after a betrayal sends Pip fleeing into the frozen arctic, can our small hero even save himself?
Ever since Pip Pip Pop Pip came to the Everwhite with his fellow adventurers, it's been struggle after struggle. Bad enough that as a Nuralli-a knee-tall frogfolk from the jungle-Pip can barely tolerate the terrible snows. But then came an ambush that only someone within their Order could have orchestrated. There is a traitor, and lives are at stake.
Pip and the winged witch Norui travel ahead of their companions to take warning to the Order's safehouse... only to discover their contact has defected to the enemy. In the space of a heartbeat, the journey-exhausted Norui is swallowed by a magical prison. Pip fights to free her, but his foes are too many.
And now here he is-beaten black and blue, manacled, and locked in a crate. Waiting for his captors to decide when his life will end. Though everything in him screams to find Norui, Pip has only two options: escape or die.
But even if Pip can free himself, he's powerless. He'll get no help from the Nuralli-loathing humans of town, and the icy wilds are no place for a small frogfolk, no matter his determination. But Pip must rejoin his friends before they arrive in four days, or they'll fall to the traitors next, and no one will be left to rescue Norui.
Hunted. Frozen. Clawing for survival and staking his life to protect his friends. Pip must somehow overcome the deadly ice, or his journey to the Everwhite will be his last
