Synopsis:
Two US cavalry officers, enemies from a previous Apache uprising, are thrown together again to fight the Sioux. In a parallel story, one of the officers and the chief of scouts fall in love with the same woman as they prepare for the campaign.

Notes:
Shot in Durango, Mexico, in DeLuxe color and Panavision. Running times vary between 95 to 111 minutes. This film was the first time director Sam Peckinpah received credit for a screenplay.
