Grande dorsale
Overview
Nicolas Defoe introduces us to Argentina during a period of political violence and corruption; religious and funeral rituals; and love stories that end badly.
A lawyer going through a mid-age crisis decides to get a tattoo of a drawing made by his young daughter, hoping to appear cool in her eyes. After a long painful session, a different image appears on his back, that of a mournful Madonna. His daughter loves it, takes a picture and posts it on social media. A few months later, a woman contacts them saying the face on the tattoo is that of her daughter who disappeared in Argentina. Her name is Judith.
Judith is an extraordinary character, delicious and brutal. Her entourage includes Ezequiel, her young, possessive husband, Olaf the tattoo artist, her little brother Gago and her French mother, caught between two worlds.
Grande Dorsale is their thriller.
