Movie Reviews

Reviews:
"[T]ouching and amusing....[T]he auditions, like the no-frills cinematography and the worn sets, contribute to the downbeat authenticity that is the most striking feature of GREAT WORLD OF SOUND." - 09/14/2007 New York Times, p.E24

"[A] terrific, small, funny, sad movie....A metaphorical satire of a music business so busy scavenging for sales it has forgotten its roots." - 09/21/2007 Entertainment Weekly, p.62

"[A] very entertaining debut....It's a shrewd combination that still manages to be immensely charming with a ramshackle sense of humor." - 10/01/2007 Box Office, p.49

"[A]n involving, offbeat and truly unusual American independent film....GREAT WORLD is an intriguing look at our obsession with being successful and famous..." - 09/28/2007 Los Angeles Times

3 stars out of 5 -- "[A] low-key, naturalistic little movie....As indie as it gets, this is entertaining and well performed..." - 05/01/2008 Ultimate DVD, p.94
