Hachiko - The Dog Waiting
Overview
Hachiko is a real dog that used to live in Tokyo, adopted by Professor Eisaburo Ueno's family. Every morning in the morning Hachiko saw the professor off at Shibuya station so he could get on the train to work. In the afternoon, at 3 o'clock, Hachiko went to the station again to wait for the professor to return. But unfortunately, one day Professor Ueno passed away after a stroke and could not return forever. As for Hachiko, for the next 10 years, at 3 pm, he regularly went to the station to wait for his owner. Hachiko has become a symbol of loyalty. His statue is solemnly placed at Shibuya station. The story of Hachiko, told with poignant words by writer Luis Prats and impressive watercolor illustrations by Zuzanna Celej, will move your heart and inspire you the way Hachiko has touched millions hearts in the world.
