Overview
Danny Grimes is an ex-Special Forces dog handler trying to keep his life together after losing his wife in a car accident. His daughter, Chloe, survived but now uses a wheelchair and lives with her grandparents while Danny works every job he can to support them. He runs DGK9, an East London security firm handling guard dog work, nightclub doors, close protection and, when the money's right, the off-the-book underworld jobs no one talks about. Danny doesn't want the life, but the life keeps coming for him. At his side is Cooper, his jet-black Cane Corso - backed up by Wallace and Gromit, the two Malinois who can clear a street on command. And back home, Danny lives in a small bungalow, with Alan, the stoner who rents the annex, always winding up in trouble with his weed, his paranoia, and his mad conspiracy theories. Danny's dream is simple:
earn enough money one day to get Chloe and her grandparents out of East London and buy a big farmhouse in Kent - a place where they can finally be safe. But when a job brings someone from Danny's past crashing back into his world, everything spirals - old ghosts, new enemies, and a storm that threatens the people he loves most. Danny Grimes does what he always does: stands his ground with his dogs beside him.
Because when the streets turn dark, there's only one man you call: The Handler.
