The Heir of Magic
Overview
For a year, Lethe has been lost beneath Doeth Mountain, and everyone believes him dead.
Then the faint presence of him Beth has carried in her mind since his disappearance is violently severed.
Beth and Aine leave Pane in search of him, only to uncover the truth: Lethe survived. Nomen imprisoned him, tore through his mind, and the man who raised him stood by and watched.
When Lethe finally returns, he is no longer the boy who vanished.
He carries power he cannot explain, a sword touched by darkness, and a hunger for vengeance. Yet confronting Master Aelis cannot restore the life taken from him. Worse, his escape from the mountain has awakened ancient enemies, and the sword that led him there is bound to a prophecy he refuses to claim.
With Aine beside him and her own dangerous magic breaking free, Lethe must uncover the sword's true purpose and reach a hidden power before those enemies do. Every answer, however, reveals how much of his path was arranged before his birth, including the suffering that nearly destroyed him.
To stop what he unwittingly unleashed, Lethe may have to become the Heir of Magic.
First, he must decide whether accepting that destiny will cost him the last part of his life that still belongs to him.
Ancient enemies are rising. The Keepers are waiting. And the Heir of Magic is running out of places to hide.
The Heir of Magic continues the Keepers of the Stones trilogy, an epic coming-of-age fantasy of elemental magic, betrayal, friendship, and the price of destiny.
