Hello, Octopus!
Overview
An octopus has three hearts and no bones. It can squeeze through any gap bigger than its beak, and it tastes things with its suckers. Most octopuses can squirt a cloud of ink and jet away when something scary comes along, and one kind of octopus carries coconut shells around to hide in.
Hello, Octopus is a picture book for a grown-up to read aloud with children aged 6 to 8. Each big picture has a sentence or two and a question to answer together. Mila and Omar, the two guides of The Paper Wild, show up to ask them.
The last pages are for the grown-up: the facts behind the pictures, in plain words, for the questions that come afterwards. Every fact in the book was checked against published sources.
The Paper Wild tells one animal at six reading levels, called Folds. This is Fold 2, Read Together.
