The only conclusion is that preternatural powers have concealed it from the world. Into the broodings of the agents march an army of Gardun-Houldu, led by the Sea Riders and the Eldarendar. The agents are greater than they, and take them all captive. Holding them in their scientific hells, the agents carry on dehumanizing experiments upon not only the Sea Riders, but the Heir as well. And you wonder why Eldarendar hates Men, the hateful Morku. When he obtains the last Ring, he will unleash the Wrath of Eldarendar upon the world of Men. Activating his imagination, Shadow breaches the barrier, laying bare Fairyland to the ravages of technology. Though the Elves and the fay-creatures put up a terrible fight, the power of Men is greater than they.
