When their mother is discovered bludgeoned to death they are the only suspects. Eva, the oldest, is the nurturer who lives in close proximity to her mother and is well past trying to act as if everything is normal. Hedy is a powerful advertising executive who has run from her past by working eighty hour weeks and hiding the fact she lives with a woman. Lily copes by ignoring everything-her childhood, her marriage, and her happiness. Sophie waits and lives in a world of denial while taking care of her brain damaged twin sister, Patty, who was robbed of her genius level intelligence when her mother hit her in the head with a nine iron. The Humpty Dumptys is a riveting piece of fiction that examines the realities of what happens when you break children through abuse and how only some can ultimately find happiness.", "item_img_path" : "https://covers1.booksamillion.com/covers/bam/0/99/080/880/0990808807_b.jpg", "price_data" : { "retail_price" : "16.99", "online_price" : "16.99", "our_price" : "16.99", "club_price" : "16.99", "savings_pct" : "0", "savings_amt" : "0.00", "club_savings_pct" : "0", "club_savings_amt" : "0.00", "discount_pct" : "10", "store_price" : "" } }
